Tea cups on a table in warm afternoon light

Mifgash Lev · a meeting of hearts

No one should feel forgotten in their old age.

Every week we bring older people in NW London together for music, movement, chess and a warm cup of tea.

How it started

Hello from Mifgash Lev

Our founder, Chaya Apter, is an occupational therapist. When she was caring for a much-loved relative with dementia, she couldn’t find a single group that felt right for him. He grew lonely and withdrawn, and it broke her heart.

So she started one. Since September 2025 Mifgash Lev has grown into a warm, heimish place where older people sing, move, laugh and make friends.
